One of the hardest things to do is strike out on your own, leave the comfort of what you know, and embark on the unknown. We have been conditioned to go to school, become an employee, and hopefully retire with a pension. This is the known path.
Well, this path may have worked for our parents, but it doesn’t seem to be in the cards for the rest of us.
Our plans have to be different. We are living and working in a different era, a different economy, and the dollar does not go as far as it used to. We can’t buy a house for $50,000 anymore. Heck, we can barely buy a new car at that price. To survive, and thrive, we MUST do things differently! We must enter into the unknown.
Therefore, it’s time to think outside the box. What is calling you? What do you feel energized doing? What problem can you solve? What opportunities exist to do things better?
